One of our favorite red wines to go with soft cheese. Valpolicella Ripasso is a fruity, complex red wine from the Valpolicella viticultural zone of Veneto in the northeast of Italy. The ripasso method is utilized for the production of Valpolicella Ripasso by combining leftover lees with standard Valpolicella wine for a second fermentation to create a deeper, more character-laden wine. Rich aromas of red fruit, berries, and spice; dry, medium body; a nice medium flavour intensity of ripe fruit, smooth, with Fine tannin and dry finish.
